Certified New York State licensed professional registered architect or engineer to file plans and applications with the department for your main permit and or our company after obtaining approval then we apply for the lighting, shed,  bridge,  or scaffolding permit we install the selected scaffolding system we arrange for the departments inspection when work is complete we provide a standard sign off. Construction plans must be submitted to obtain a permit in NYC . Department of buildings plan examiner will review the plans for any legal/zoning objections. When objections are satisfied, the Department will approve the application. A PE or RA may also certify that plans conform to all applicable laws.

New Construction and Restoration.Construction of a new building or demolition of an existing structure is also required to install bridging the necessity to erect such a sidewalk bridge is dependent upon the height of the building being repaired. New York City a Sidewalk Bridge is required when construction work is over 40 feet high or 25 feet high for demolition work and whenever there is a dangerous condition irrespective of the height. A sidewalk shed must be erected whenever materials will be hoisted over the sidewalk, regardless of building height or horizontal distance between building and sidewalk. permit is required prior to erecting a sidewalk shed or supported scaffold over 40 feet in height. If a scaffold is on top of a sidewalk shed, the height of the scaffold must include the height of the shed and be taken from the top of the sidewalk. If the supported scaffold is located on a setback or roof of a building, and if the outer leg of the scaffold is located a distance less than half the height of the scaffold (from the top of roof or floor slab), the height of the scaffold for permitting purposes shall include the height of the building below prior to erecting a sidewalk shed, an owner must obtain a permit from DOB. Recent incidents involving supported sidewalk bridge or as is sometimes referred to as sidewalk shed or sidewalk bridging  NYC have indicated that appropriate caution has not been taken with respect to installation and engineering of such sidewalk bridge or sidewalk shed. This notice is to serve as a reminder for what the City of New York requires regarding the design and construction of all supported sidewalk shed and sidewalk bridges NYC Noncompliance with the regulations below will result in immediate Stop Work Orders, penalties up to $2,000 and criminal court summonses. Failure to comply with a Stop Work Order may result in the imposition of fines up to $10,000.Permits are required prior to erecting a sidewalk shed or supported sidewalk bridge.
